Early Life of Nelly Korda

Nelly Korda was born in Bradenton, Florida, in the United States of America on July 28, 1998. Both of her parents were professional tennis players. Her father Petr actually won the grand slam in 1998.

Sebastian is her younger brother, and Jessica Korda is her older sister. Currently, her brother is making his name popular as a tennis player, following in the footsteps of their parents. She has a sister from the same field who plays golf professionally.

When she was a kid, Korda was determined to make it in sports. Her parents have always encouraged and supported Nelly in pursuing her dream.

She represented the United States at the 2013 US Women’s Open when she was a young golfer. Then she decided to become an amateur player and began to play golf.

She got the right platform to become a professional from her family background especially because of her parents.

Both her parents, father PetrKorda mother Regina Rajchrtova are retired, professional tennis players. So both her sisters got the inspiration to become professional golfers as their career.

The 2015 season was Nelly’s first year as an amateur. In 2015, she won the AJGA Rolex Junior All-American, the Harter Hall Invitational, and the PING Invitational.

Nelly’s professional career got underway in 2016 while she played on the Symetra Tour. During the Sioux Falls Great LIFE Challenge, she defeated Wichanee Meechai with a three-under.

In his early professional career, Nelly gained confidence by winning a few games. With a view to winning the championship title, she competed on an LPGA Tour in 2018.

She eventually achieved her goal and won the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship, which was held in Taiwan. For me, it was my first time winning a title on the LPGA Tour. As a winner of the Tournament, she received $330000 in prize money.

Having won the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open on February 17, 2019, Nelly claimed her second LPGA victory on February 17.

The prize money she received for winning the championship was $195000. In the Women’s World Golf Rankings, Nelly entered the top 10 after showing excellent form.

In November, Nelly earned $330000 from winning the Taiwan Swinging Skirts LPGA tournament. It was her third LPGA Tour victory. Gain bridge LPGA at Boca Rio gave her the most recent victory on February 28, 2021.
