On April 16, 2009, during the first round, he made an ace with a 7-iron on the 157-yard, par-3 hole that was the 17th hole. The next day, the hole-in-one had been made from 147 yards away with an 8-iron.

He won the qualifying school at the end of the season to get back on the PGA Tour in 2011. In  2019, Todd won the Bermuda Championship on the PGA Tour with a score of nine-under-62, which also included seven classic front-nine birdies.

This gave Todd a victory margin of four shots over Harry Higgs, who was the leader after 54 holes. In the third round of the Travelers Championship on June 27, 2020, he shot 61, which was the lowest round he has ever shot in his career.
