Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes considering tying the knot
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are in a deep discussion about taking their relationship to the next level, considering the possibility of marriage. In a recent episode of their “Amy & T.J.” podcast, the former “Good Morning America 3” co-anchors opened up about their thoughts on commitment and the idea of tying the knot.
Robach, 51, explained, “We’re still deciding about what that level of commitment is … whether it’s legal or not … but mentally, emotionally, we’ve absolutely agreed to commit to one another. We haven’t figured [out] the marriage thing out yet.” Holmes, 46, chimed in, adding, “We haven’t decided whether or not we are going to officially get married.”
The couple is taking their time to explore the concept of marriage and what it means for their relationship. Robach expressed her desire to find a “life partner” in Holmes, emphasizing the importance of a strong emotional connection. When Holmes questioned if a life partner could exist without a legal agreement, Robach affirmed that it is indeed possible.
Referring to longtime partners Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell as an example, Robach highlighted that a successful relationship does not necessarily require a legal marriage. She pointed out that the idea of marriage can sometimes be seen as a “false security blanket,” but still acknowledged the appeal of the official title of husband and wife in society.
While the couple is considering marriage, their current focus is on moving in together first. They both expressed their desire to live together eventually, with Robach stating, “I want to be with you for the rest of my life, and I would like to live with you when the time comes.” Despite the uncertainty surrounding their future plans, they remain committed to each other and value their strong bond.
Their relationship journey began in November 2022, which led to them losing their jobs at “GMA3” when their romance was exposed. At the time, Robach was still married to her ex-husband Andrew Shue, while Holmes was wed to Marilee Fiebig. Both Robach and Holmes filed for divorce from their respective spouses in December 2022, beginning a new chapter in their lives.
Recently, it was revealed that Shue and Fieberg have found solace in each other and are now in a committed relationship, having moved on from their past marriages. Despite the challenges they faced, Robach and Holmes have remained steadfast in their commitment to each other and are looking forward to the next steps in their relationship.
As they continue to navigate the complexities of love, commitment, and partnership, Robach and Holmes are embracing the journey together, with marriage and moving in being important milestones they are considering for their future. Their genuine affection and dedication to each other highlight the strength of their bond and the mutual respect they share in their relationship.
