Lauren Sánchez stuns in provocative corset dress at White House state dinner alongside Jeff Bezos
Lauren Sánchez made quite the entrance at the White House state dinner with her fiancé Jeff Bezos. The former journalist, 54, donned a racy red corset dress that turned heads at the lavish event. The off-the-shoulder Rasario dress featured a plunging neckline adorned with lace, corset-like boning, and a floor-length silk skirt, making a bold statement among the traditionally formal attire worn by guests.
Sánchez completed her daring ensemble with Gianvito Rossi Flavia mirrored leather pumps and huge diamond earrings. Her hair flowed behind her ears as she carried a sparkly clutch, adding to the overall elegance and edge of her look.
Meanwhile, Bezos opted for a classic black tuxedo paired with a silk bowtie atop a crisp white shirt, complementing Sánchez’s bold outfit with understated sophistication.
The couple mingled with a star-studded guest list that included legendary actor Robert De Niro and his girlfriend Tiffany Chen, Apple CEO Tim Cook, VP Lisa Jackson, and Japanese American Olympic medalists Kristi Yamaguchi and Alex and Maia Shibutani. The evening honored Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko, with President Biden and Dr. Jill Biden serving as hosts.
More than 200 guests were welcomed in the White House East Room, where they dined on house-cured salmon and dry-aged rib-eye steak. Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan Chase, and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen were among the attendees spotted enjoying the festivities.
During the dinner, President Biden delivered a heartfelt toast, emphasizing the importance of friendship and healing in diplomatic relationships. The evening’s entertainment was provided by the iconic musician Paul Simon, who serenaded guests with hits like “Graceland” and “Slip Slidin’ Away.”
Just days before the state dinner, Sánchez and Bezos returned from a trip to Japan where they enjoyed quality time with their blended family. Sánchez shared glimpses of their trip on Instagram, showcasing traditional painting, meditation, and family workouts, along with the cherry blossom trees in bloom.
As the night came to a close, the couple reflected on their unforgettable experiences in Japan, expressing gratitude for the memories and the bonds they had formed. Sánchez captioned her Instagram post, “Japan, you’ve stolen our hearts. Thank you, Japan, for the memories, the most beautiful sunrises, and those inside jokes that’ll stick with us forever. We’re already dreaming of coming back.”
Overall, Lauren Sánchez’s daring fashion choice at the White House state dinner made a lasting impression, setting her apart as a style icon with a penchant for pushing boundaries and making a statement.
