Brittany Cartwright reveals she and Jax Taylor were intimate only ‘twice in the past year’ before breaking up
Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor, the former stars of the reality show “The Valley,” recently opened up about the lack of intimacy that plagued their relationship for the year leading up to their split. Cartwright revealed that their sexual activity had drastically decreased, with the couple only having sex twice in the past year before their breakup. This revelation sheds light on the struggles that the couple faced in their marriage.
In the early days of their relationship, Cartwright reminisced about their vibrant sex life, where they were intimate constantly and didn’t miss a day. However, as time passed, their physical connection fizzled out, leaving them with only a few encounters in the past year. Taylor also expressed his frustration with the lack of intimacy, noting that they used to have sex three to four times a day. The couple’s struggles with intimacy were a significant factor in their decision to split.
Taylor acknowledged his role in letting the romantic spark fade in their relationship, admitting that he bears some responsibility for the lack of intimacy. He recognized that the demands of parenthood and raising their son, Cruz Michael Cauchi, contributed to the strain on their sex life. Despite their efforts to navigate these challenges, the couple ultimately decided to separate.
Cartwright shared with Page Six that the lack of intimacy was a contributing factor to their breakup, emphasizing the importance of appreciation and effort in a marriage. She expressed her desire to work on rebuilding their connection but acknowledged that if they were unable to do so, they may not reconcile. Cartwright also highlighted Taylor’s alleged lack of effort in addressing their marital issues as a significant reason for their split.
Their decision to separate was announced on their joint podcast, “When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany,” in February. Cartwright emphasized that they were taking time apart for the sake of her mental health and the well-being of their son. While neither Taylor nor Cartwright have filed for divorce, their separation underscores the challenges they faced in their relationship.
Despite their difficulties, the couple had a strong bond, having gotten engaged in 2018 and tying the knot in 2019. Their journey from a passionate romance to a strained marriage reflects the complexities and realities of long-term relationships. The struggles they faced with intimacy serve as a reminder of the importance of communication, effort, and appreciation in maintaining a healthy and fulfilling relationship.
