Who Is Tammy Slaton’s Girlfriend? All About Andrea Dalton

Tammy Slaton has a new love in her life.

During the season 7 premiere of 1000-Lb. Sisters in April 2025, the TLC star shared that she was dating someone new, who was later revealed to be Andrea Dalton. The new romance marks Slaton’s first relationship since her husband, Caleb Willingham, died in July 2023.

In the premiere episode, Slaton, who came out as pansexual in February 2021, shared that Willingham’s death led her to reevaluate who she saw herself with going forward.

“A few years ago I came out as pansexual, but after Caleb passing, I just don’t want to be with men anymore,” she said on the show.

Throughout season 7, viewers saw glimpses of Slaton’s budding romance with Dalton, including her first public date. In a confessional, Slaton said that while she has “feelings” for Dalton, they are “taking things slow, day by day.”

Slaton and Dalton met on a dating app

During an April 2025 episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters, Dalton shared that she and Slaton met while on a dating app.

“I had just got on there,” Dalton said. “I wasn’t on there very long, and I saw her and she saw me and we just started talking, and it’s been, like, every day since.”

Slaton kept the relationship a secret from her family for months

During the season 7 premiere, Slaton shared that she hadn’t told her family about her new romance, despite having been seeing Dalton for “the past couple of months.”

“I think I want to approach this relationship different than I have in the past, so I haven’t told my family because my family’s gonna have something to say about it,” she said, adding that they have a lot of “opinions.”

The TLC star went on to say that she was unsure how they would “react” to the fact that she’s dating a woman.

Later in season 7, Slaton revealed to her older sisters Misty Wentworth and Amanda Halterman that she was in a relationship with Dalton, starting off the conversation saying that she knew they don’t “prefer people” that are “gay.”

Misty replied, “It don’t matter to me.”

In a confessional, Amanda added that she’s “not sure why Tammy feels like we would have a problem with her dating a female.”

“I have a son that’s gay. I don’t care as long as she treats you right,” she continued. “So for her to pop off and say, ‘Well I know y’all probably don’t agree with me dating a woman,’ I mean, I was completely taken aback by it, to be honest. It really surprised me.”

Slaton’s family supports her new relationship

After Slaton shared the news with her sisters, Wentworth and Halterman assured her that they don’t care who she dates as long as she is treated well.

“If she makes you happy … that’s all we want for each other is just to be happy. That’s all,” Halterman said. “But I don’t want none of us to stop looking for it. Don’t just settle. Don’t stop until you find exactly what you’re looking for.”

Meanwhile, Slaton introduced her mom to Dalton during a May 2025 episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters.

After meeting her, Slaton’s mom said she “don’t really care about women on women and men on men deals.”

“If Andrea genuinely cares for Tammy and makes her happy, then I’ll be happy with her,” she continued.

Slaton loves “everything” about Dalton

During an April 2025 episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters, Slaton went on a date with Dalton to a bowling alley.

Slaton opened up about their relationship in a confessional, saying, “Andrea’s beautiful. I like everything about her.”

She continued, “We have been getting very close.”

Slaton’s husband’s death made her rethink her sexuality

In 2021, Slaton came out as pansexual while she was in a two-year relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Jerry. During an episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters, the TLC star told her ex that she “would date anybody whether they’re transgender, straight, gay.”

After Jerry asked if she would date a transgender man, Slaton clarified, “It’s about how they make me feel, not how they look.”

In a separate interview, Slaton said that she “always thought [she] was bisexual,” until a friend explained what being pansexual meant.

“It means you love everybody, not just the same sex,” Slaton said. “And I was like, ‘Well, I guess I am too,’ because I wouldn’t mind being with someone who’s transgender, or whatever.”

In the wake of her husband’s death, Slaton began reflecting on how her dating preferences changed. In a since-deleted January 2024 TikTok video, she responded to a follower who asked if she was transgender, saying, “No, I’m not trans. I’m just a supporter of everybody.”

“I was saying I was pansexual but I kinda stopped messing with guys after my husband passed. So, I’m like a lesbian,” she continued. “I’m not a hater. Love is love. Everybody deserves love whether they’re gay, straight, trans, pan, bi, nonbinary, whatever. I’m just a lover.”
