Teddi Mellencamp and her horse trainer lover’s estranged wife have awkward run-in amid cheating scandal

Teddi Mellencamp had an awkward run-in with her horse trainer Simon Schroeder’s estranged wife amid reports of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum’s affair.

In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Mellencamp was spotted attending an equestrian event on Thursday at the Las Vegas National Horse Show at South Point Arena and Equestrian Center as her daughter Slate competed in the show.

Schroeder’s wife, Karli Postel — who participated in the competition — was also photographed watching the event from the stands.

Despite their proximity, the pair didn’t interact, according to the Daily Mail.

Reports of Mellencamp and Schroeder’s affair surfaced earlier this week after she shockingly ended things with her husband Edwin Arroyave after 13 years of marriage.

An insider with direct knowledge told us the Bravolebrity had stepped out of her marriage on multiple occasions with Schroeder, her close friend.

The source went on to reveal that Mellencamp and Schroeder were in Florida together for an equestrian event while Postel was in California in labor with their second child.

“Karli thought it was suspicious that her husband was in Florida when she was giving birth,” a source told the Daily Mail.

The affair ultimately came to light when Postel searched Schroeder’s phone and found inappropriate text messages being shared between the two.

“They confessed. Teddi promised it would not happen again,” the Daily Mail’s source said.

While Postel didn’t originally tell Arroyave when she discovered the affair because “she was willing to give Simon another chance,” she ended up telling Mellencamp’s estranged husband once she realized the affair had not only continued, but also became “emotional.”

Our insider told Page Six that Mellencamp’s affair was the deciding force behind her decision to file for divorce on Nov. 1.

“She filed for divorce from Edwin so that he did not have the chance to file and get her for adultery,” the Daily Mail’s source said. “It has been alleged that the marriage ended because Edwin cheated on Teddi, but it is actually the other way around.”
