Taylor Swift debuts ‘Reputation (Taylor’s Version)’ re-recording on ‘Handmaid’s Tale’

Look what fans made her do.
Taylor Swift finally debuted the first re-recording off of her “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” album on “The Handmaid’s Tale.”
When episode nine of Season 6 kicked off on Monday night, viewers got to hear “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)” in full.
The track played during an epic moment on the Hulu show in which Elisabeth Moss’ character, June, led an uprising of handmaids against the Commanders.
Moss, 42, gushed to Billboard that this was “the perfect song for the perfect moment.”
She explained, “I’ve been wanting to use a Taylor song for many years on the show and we finally found the perfect spot for a track from her, and I’m so glad we waited.”
The actress went on to call Swift “such an inspiration” to her on Tuesday.
“As a Swiftie myself, and I think I can speak for [co-star] Yvonne [Strahovski] and our entire cast as well, who are all Swifties, it’s such an honor to be able to use her music in the final episodes of our show,” Moss continued.
While Monday’s reveal marked the first time fans heard the full version of “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version),” it has been played in snippets over the years.
A portion of the hit was included in the 2023 teaser for “Wilderness,” as well as in the “Dynasty: New England Patriots” docuseries the following year.
Swift originally released her “Reputation” album in 2017, four years before she began re-recording her albums previously released with Big Machine Records.

The Grammy winner, who did not purchase her master recordings, has since dropped her own versions of “Fearless,” “Red,” “Speak Now” and “1989.”
She has been teasing fans with “Reputation”-coded Easter eggs in her wardrobe for months, most recently with her dress choice at Mother’s Day brunch with boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s family members.
The songwriter’s ensemble was covered with daisies, a seeming homage to lyrics from “Don’t Blame Me.”
Swift teased the upcoming album’s “fire” tracks — and made rare comments about her romance with the 35-year-old NFL star — in a 2023 Time magazine interview.
“I’m collecting horcruxes,” she said at the time of her rerecording endeavors. “I’m collecting infinity stones. Gandalf’s voice is in my head every time I put out a new one. For me, it is a movie now.”
