Sabrina Carpenter wears nothing but thigh-high socks and butt-grazing blond hair on Rolling Stone cover

Her give-a-f—ks are clearly on vacation.
Sabrina Carpenter wore nothing but thigh-high socks and butt-grazing blond hair extensions while gracing the cover of Rolling Stone’s Summer Double Issue, released Thursday.
The “Espresso” singer, 26, was pictured kneeling in front of a hookah pipe while wearing the white lace hosiery, covering her chest and behind with the luscious locks, with a single white pump in the frame.
Elsewhere in the photo shoot, the pop star wore a similar pair of fishnet thigh-highs with a white floral corset, a blue gingham cape with matching panties, a draped yellow gown with a slit up to her thigh and more stunning looks.
She kept Rapunzel-like locks for the dreamy shoot, though none quite as long as the cover image and posed in a meadow among flowers, lensed by iconic photographer David LaChapelle.
The pop star’s style often features lingerie-inspired elements — especially during her Short N’ Sweet tour, which kicked off in September 2024. She is also known for her famous curtain bangs and feathered haircut.
Carpenter addressed her hair color — as well as her new single, “Manchild” and forthcoming album, “Man’s Best Friend” — in the coinciding feature with the magazine while asked about being the “blond girl” allegedly referenced in Olivia Rodrigo’s 2021 song “Drivers License.”
The 2021 hit is believed to be about Rodrigo’s ex Joshua Bassett moving on with Carpenter after their breakup.
“All I knew was that it wasn’t going to stop me from doing what I loved, ever,” she said. “That’s kind of how I’ve always felt. Sometimes, it’s about how you are able to be resilient.”
Carpenter said that she learned how to believe in herself and that everything will eventually fall into place.
“What that era taught me was to just trust myself, and trust that everything is going to work out the way it’s supposed to, and trust that relationships are put into your life for a reason,” she said. “You might not see that in the moment, but you see it later.”
When asked if she ever thinks back to that time, she replied, “I don’t think about it, ever.”
“I’ve tried being brunette, and it didn’t look good on me, so this is what it is,” she added, revealing that she sometimes wears a brown wig while out in public to disguise herself from rabid fans.
Carpenter’s hairstylist Laurie Heaps discussed the “Feather” artist’s trend-setting golden tresses in an interview with Page Six Style last December.
“Sabrina’s approach to hair now reflects a sense of confidence and sophistication, making each style feel intentional, timeless, and uniquely her,” the Redken ambassador said, adding, “Her choice of a rich, gorgeous blond has been a defining part of her look, adding depth and brightness that really complements her personality.”
