Naomi Judd’s widower, Larry Strickland, confirms she shot a gun at him after learning he cheated

Larry Strickland confirmed that his late wife, Naomi Judd, fired a gun at him after she learned about his alleged infidelity.
While discussing the “River Of Time” songstress’s 1995 TV movie, “Naomi & Wynonna: Love Can Build a Bridge,” Strickland briefly mentioned his violent encounter with the late singer in the new “The Judd Family: Truth Be Told” Lifetime docuseries.
In the ’90s film, which is based on a true story, there was a scene where Judd, portrayed by Kathleen Yorkshot, shot at Strickland, played by Bruce Greenwood, after he had cheated on her.
“Well, it really happened, that’s all I can say,” Strickland, 79, said, per People. “That’s all I wanna say. It happened.”
According to the outlet, the series also featured a voiceover from Judd’s 1993 “Love Can Build a Bridge” memoir, sharing how she and Strickland were “wildly, madly, passionately in love,” though he was never present.
The actress also alleged that an unidentified woman once called their Nashville, Tenn., home in the ’80s and professed her love for Strickland.
Judd then tore up her and her husband’s photos and threw his stuff out of the house.
The duo met in 1979 and wed in May 1989.
Despite Strickland’s alleged infidelity, the couple decided to stick together until Judd died by suicide in 2022. She was 76.
Shortly after Judd passed away, Strickland opened up about her final months before she shot herself, describing them as “chaotic.”
“It was a very chaotic, hectic, hectic time,” he told People at the time. “It was extremely hard. She had several therapists that she was seeing, and her energy level had gotten really low.”
The “Love Lifted Me” crooner explained his wife was “getting really weak” as she battled with debilitating depression and anxiety.
Strickland confessed to feeling guilty about pushing Judd too much by “trying to get her to eat” and work out.
“I handled her medications and had to make sure she had what she needed. I was trying every way I could,” he said.
“If I had known where she was, I would’ve been much softer on her.”
Judd was the mother of daughters Wynonna, 60, and Ashley, 57, whom she shared with two different partners.
