Jason Kelce Supports Los Angeles Firefighters by Wearing LAFD Cap

Jason Kelce is showing solidarity.

On Monday, Jan. 13, the retired Philadelphia Eagles center, 37, showed his support for the Los Angeles Fire Department by wearing an LAFD cap on his late-night show, They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce.

In a photo shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), Kelce sported a black suit and gold striped tie, which he paired with his navy blue baseball cap that featured large white capitals of “LAPD.”

Kelce’s support comes amid the Los Angeles fires which have seen tens of thousands of residents evacuate their homes for safety. Many people, including celebrities, have also lost their properties in the fire.

The L.A. County Sheriffs confirmed a total of 24 deaths on Monday, Jan. 13, with 23 people missing and 35 arrested.

Kelce’s ESPN show debuted on Saturday, Jan. 4, with many stars such as fellow late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, Inside the NBA host Charles Barkley, musician and Philadelphia native Lil Dicky (whose real name is David Burd), making an appearance.

Stepping onstage, Kelce joked that his new show was thanks to his parents Ed and Donna Kelce — who were sitting in the audience — letting him stay up as a child to watch late-night TV.

“Wow, how did we get here?,” he said during his opening monologue. “Yeah, I have my own late night show. Not quite sure how we got here. I used to love watching Conan as a kid. I thought it was hilarious and now I’m up here doing my own show.”

“My parents are here,” he continued. “Mom, dad, you were wrong, turns out letting me stay up late at night was a good thing, in watching TV.”
