Jamie Foxx Says His 2025 Mantra Is About ‘All Love, No Hate’

New year, same good energy from Jamie Foxx!

The actor posted an Instagram Reel on the first day of 2025, in which he expressed his gratitude for the past and excitement for the future. Foxx highlighted in the video that he is especially thankful for those who supported the recent release of his comedy special, What Had Happened Was….

“Look, I can’t even tell you — I ain’t gotta tell you — how grateful I am, how thankful I am,” he began.

In his comedy standup — which premiered on Netflix on Dec. 10 — the actor opened up about his hospitalization in 2023 due to a brain bleed and subsequent stroke, but with “a healthy dose of humor,” Netflix wrote.

“I got all these jokes I want to tell, I got all this joy I want to spread,” he added in the reel. “Here’s the thing — my 2025 is simple. It’s all love, no hate.”

Foxx continued the good vibes in the caption, writing “This one is gone hit different. so much to be thankful for … I’m too blessed to be stressed.”

The last bit seems to be a recurring theme in Foxx’s life, as just weeks earlier, he posted the same phrase in response to an altercation at his birthday dinner, which occurred the night before. A spokesperson for the actor said someone “threw a glass that hit him in the mouth” while on a birthday outing, but Foxx still managed to share a positive message afterward.

“The devil is busy … but I’m too blessed to be stressed,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

The actor’s excitement for the year ahead includes his upcoming film, Back in Action. Later this month, Foxx will star alongside Cameron Diaz in the action-comedy about two retired CIA spies who left the field together to start a family. When their cover is blown, Emily (Diaz) and Matt (Foxx) get dragged back into the spy business.
