How Celebrities Are Giving Back to Los Angeles Wildfire Relief

As the devastating Los Angeles wildfires continue to burn, destroying whole neighborhoods in the city, displacing tens of thousands of people and leaving at least 24 people dead and 16 missing as of Jan. 14, people across the globe are stepping up to aid those in need.
Whether it’s contributing to one of the hundreds of GoFundMes set up to help families get back on their feet, taking in pets that need fostering, sending food and supplies to the first responders or volunteering on the ground, people are anxious to help in any way they can.
Many vetted resources exist for those who are looking to help, though those who are helping organize the response in Los Angeles caution well-intentioned donors to avoid scams, and to check which donations are most needed before sending items. Many charities have already indicated that they have far too many clothes already without the resources to sort them and get them to the right places, and fire departments have put out a request for people not to drop off food and supplies at the fire stations as they also divert needed manpower to try to get them to where they need to go.
Large corporations have given back to the relief efforts; Netflix, Comcast, Warner Bros. and the Walt Disney Co. have pledged $15 million each, Amazon has committed to $10 million, and the NFL says it will give $5 million — the same amount offered by Snapchat (founded by Pacific Palisades native Evan Spiegel).
But individual celebrities are also stepping up to help with the efforts. Below, see what the stars have said about the efforts.
Beyoncé will donate $2.5 million through her BeyGOOD foundation, “earmarked to aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires.”
Eva Longoria will donate $1 million through her foundation to the Latino Community Fund and California Community Foundation, and had already pledged $50,000 of her own money to This Is About Humanity.
Jennifer Garner, Megan Markle and Prince Harry volunteered with World Central Kitchen to help distribute meals to first responders and displaced residents.

Paris Hilton launched an emergency fund of $100,000 through her 11:11 Media nonprofit, and stated she would match another $100,000 in additional donations. She also volunteered at the Pasadena Humane Society to bring awareness to the organization and solicit further donations for their work.
Jamie Lee Curtis pledged $1 million from her family foundation for a wildfire relief efforts fund.
Halle Berry and Sharon Stone posted that they were donating directly to COOP which was collecting clothing essentials for wildfire victims.
