‘Anora’ artist Brooke Candy joins OnlyFans to duck mainstream censorship

Brooke Candy, the musician behind one the songs from Oscar-sweeping stripper flick “Anora,” is joining subscription streaming site OnlyFans to duck the censorship of mainstream media.
Candy — who has worked with Charli XCX and Grimes and recently told the Washington Post she thinks the “world is ready for the pendulum to swing back [toward freaks]” — revels in hair-raisingly explicit lyrics and various other expressions of sex.
In fact, we looked for some lines to illustrate that point, but essentially none of them are printable in a family newspaper. Suffice to say that the “Anora” track, “Drip,” wasn’t about faulty plumbing.
“With this new chapter on OnlyFans, I finally have a space where I can share my vision freely, without judgment,” Candy told Page Six, “For years, I’ve had to work around censorship on platforms that weren’t designed for artists like me—those who break the mold, celebrate sexuality, and push artistic limits. But I’ve never been one to conform or dilute my artistry to fit within someone else’s boundaries.”
OnlyFans has become famous for porn performances. But it seems Candy’s output is going to be not so much porn as a more wholistic, rounded-out vision of filth and art.
“I’ve spent months collaborating with an incredible team to build something truly special—something bold, immersive, and completely uncensored. This isn’t just content; it’s an experience,” she told us, “I can’t wait for people to see what we’ve created and to finally share my art in a space where authenticity, freedom, and artistry are celebrated without restrictions.”
Candy has taught performing arts classes at New York University and collaborated with the Brooklyn Museum and Los Angeles’ Museum of Contemporary Art.
Her OnlyFans goes live today and will be $9.99 a month.
